
The Professional Business Academy held the Environmental Conference on the topic: “Environmental Protection and Management Challenges: Business Responsibility in Environmental Issues”
The Professional Business Academy in collaboration with Antea Cement (Titan Group), held on April 29, 2016, the conference entitled “Environmental Protection and Management Challenges:” Business Responsibility in Environmental Issues “. This conference addressed contemporary environmental management practices among a specialized panel of speakers in the field of environmental management, such as Ms. Stela Pepa, Environmental Manager at Antea Cement, Mrs. Flora Myftari, Environmental Manager at Coca-Cola, and Mrs. Vilma Kola, Specialist at the Environmental Monitoring Agency GR Albania.
The first section of the conference informed the audience on environmental issues in our country and provided concrete examples of best environmental management practices applied by leading companies in the fields of industrial production operating in Albania. Experts in the field provided the audience with the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with the methods and mechanisms applied in monitoring natural resources such as air, water and soil.
The second section of the conference touched on issues of domestic legislation as well as the space it provides for innovation in effective environmental management. The company experts brought concrete examples from the experience of investments made in their companies to minimize the impact of pollution and utilization on the environment by improving and making it more sustainable.
The Professional Business Academy aims to provide interested students and actors from the academy and business world with an informed perspective on the importance of the environment as a key factor in sustainable development by supporting such activities in the future.
