Internal quality assurance is a legal obligation of higher education institutions, being responsible for the design of policies and procedures for quality assurance. This system is established by higher education institutions and operates through the internal quality assurance unit. The structure and functions of this unit are defined in the statute of higher education institutions.
NjSBC drafts standards for internal quality assurance in accordance with the Quality Code. The unit carries out periodic evaluations for teaching and scientific research activity. An integral task of this unit is also the completion of the student questionnaire at the end of each semester, on the quality of teaching for the subjects of each program offered by the HEI.
