“Balkan Tour” was the next meeting of partners from the countries of the Western Balkans for project “Educational Capacity Strengthening for Risk Management of Non-native Aquatic Species in Western Balkans” – RISKMAN
The purpose of the meeting was sharing the results of several work packages on the trainings carried out, for fishermen and students in the fishing profile that are part of the “Unemployed” category; updating the implementation of processes of new subjects in the curricula of HEIs partnering in the project; strengthening the collaborations between the consortium partners on the prepared materials that convey the results achieved by the project so far; also an initiative of this project is the opening of a new study profile as a “risk manager” in the maritime and fishing sector; preparations for the next meeting of partners in Thessaloniki, Greece as well as the preparations for the closing conference of the project in Mugla, Turkey. This meeting was conceived in the form of a tour between partners of the countries of the Western Balkans and was organized in three host countries: at the Institute of Marine Biology in Kotor, Montenegro, at the Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania and at the Hydrobiological Institute in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The University College of Business was represented at this meeting by the staff of the Office of Scientific Research and Projects : Msc. Armila Llanaj, Msc. Marigland Pepmarku, Msc. Bledi Bezo.
